Wherever charcoal, bronze or copper is generated, we can identify machinery with the words “Made in Poland”. Polish mining gear producers have a position around the globe, but that does not Automatically mean that the world is open to them.
Rivalry in this field is huge, and competitors freqUEntly outstrip Polish companies by size, capital and technical background.
More than 100 years of know-how and advanced metallurgy know-how allowed Polish mining equipment manufacturers to develop high-performance and trustworthy equipment, enabling to conclude the most complicated excavating and energy programs. In Poland are manufactured longwall, subterranean and surface transport systems, open-pit excavating machines as well as machinery for mass transportation and bulk goods managing. At present, over 200 suppliers of machines, equipment and services work with the Polish mining industry, of which about 40 are producers of specialized machinery. The matter on the Polish mining equipment market is not the lack of orders, but strong rivalry. Last but not least, there is a lack of government help for investment in the excavating sector and leaving them alone in getting foreign contracts. As reported by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the states with the highest excavating potential are Russia, China and Ukraine. It happens to be in these countries that the largest increment in investment is to be expected in terms of increased output and efficiency.
According to experts at the IEA, at least till 2030, charcoal will be the dominant raw resource for electricity production. So, it is obviously worth fighting for.
